April Wrap-Up and May TBR

This week, I’m linking up with the Sunday Post.  Go check it out!
April was kind of a big month for me.  First of all, I started a blog!!  Blogging was something I’d been wanting to do for a while.  Sometime last month I decided to finally stop thinking about blogging and just actually do it.  I’m so glad I did, and I’ve been having so much fun.

Second, my book club got to meet and talk with Maria V. Snyder.  I had never been to a signing before, so that in itself was exciting.  But, we actually got to sit down and talk with her for an hour.  She was so nice and down to earth and it was a blast just chatting with her.  I am definitely looking forward to going to more book signings in the future!

What books did I read?
So, I read a total of 9 books in April, which I guess isn’t too bad.  Considering I didn’t really have a lot of free time to read.  I have reviews for several of these, and some reviews that haven’t been posted yet.  So, I will link them and you can just click on the covers to go to the reviews. Reviews coming soon for Shadows and Something Real.  For more up to date statuses on what i'm reading friend me on Goodreads!

I read quite a bit of 5 star books this month, which makes me happy.  I also read a couple of books that almost got 5 stars as well, which is great.
So, how is my Goodreads goal doing?  Well, not so great.

According to Goodreads, I am 4 books behind.  I don’t like that.  I’ve never been behind before.  Hopefully, I should be able to catch up in May.

May TBR
I don’t really do TBR’s much.  I am very much a mood reader, so there’s no predicting what I’ll read next.  However, there are a couple of books that I really would like to read.
Vanishing Girls by Lauren Oliver – I’ve had this one sitting around since it came out in March, and I really want to read it this month.
The Winners Crime by Marie Rutkoski – I need to know what happens next!  The Winners Curse was great and I can’t wait to continue Kestrel and Arin’s story.

Obviously, I’ll read more than just those two books in May.  However, those are the two I’d really like to get to sometime this month.  I don’t really make myself long TBRs because I never stick to them.

So, that was my month in review!  What about you?  Leave me a link to your April wrap up/May TBR.

  2. Welcome to the blogosphere, Olivia! :D And it's so awesome that you've met Maria V. Snyder! I read Poison Study and loved it as well. :)

Ah, I hope you love The Winner's Crime! I didn't love it as much as Curse, but it was still a pretty good read. :)

    1. Thanks! <3 It was really awesome - she was the first author i'd ever met. I feel like not enough people have read Poison Study! Always great to meet a fellow Poison Study fan!
I'm hoping I like it too. I'm worried it will be too much of people not communicating and not enough action. I've heard that the ending is bad for The Winner's Crime, so I'll no doubt be anticipating the third book.

I almost read that many books last year, so if I push myself a little bit I'm hoping to reach it!
