Weekly Wrap-Up #9

This week, I’m linking up with Stacking The Shelves, and Sunday Post.  Go check them out!

I’m finally back from vacation! And as nice as it was to be away, I’m so glad to back home.

I managed to get quite a bit of reading done this week, even with being on vacation.

Also, this wrap up is going to be for all of July, since I didn’t do one last weekend because it wasn’t a full week.

What happened on the blog this week?

I haven’t posted much yet this month, between packing for my trip and then actually being away.

Wednesday (July 1st): Waiting on Wednesday #12

I featured The Fixer by Jennifer Lynn Barnes.  it sounds awesome and is pitched as “Scandal meets Veronica Mars” and “Perfect for fans of Pretty Little Liars and Heist Society”  Yes please!!

Thursday (July 2nd): Review: Heir Of Fire (AKA: The longest review ever)

This is seriously the longest review ever.  I had so many thoughts and feelings on Heir of Fire and it just all came pouring out.  I need to discuss!  This review is definitely spoilery, but check it out if you’ve read Heir of Fire!

Saturday: June Wrap-Up and July TBR

I recapped all of the books I read in July and showed my July(vacation) TBR.  I managed to read SO MANY books last month and I’m really proud of it!

Monday: Review: Shadows by Jennifer L. Armentrout

I’d had this review sitting around for a while, so I decided to schedule it while I was away.  Overall, I enjoyed this Lux series novella, even if I didn’t like it near as much as the rest of the series.

Wednesday: Waiting on Wednesday #13

I featured Velvet Undercover by Teri Brown.  This book looks SO GOOD.  I love pretty much anything about spies and the fact that this is also historical fiction makes it even better.

Friday: Sisterhood of the World Bloggers Award

I was nominated by Anjie at Love Thy ShelfThis was so much fun!  I nominated a few people too and I look forward to seeing your answers!

What new books did I get this week?

My True Love Gave to Me: Twelve Holiday Stories edited by Stephanie Perkins
(and featuring a whole ton of AMAZING authors)

I’m excited to finally have this one!  There are many authors in this anthology that I really love and I’m excited to read it when winter rolls around again.

Legend by Marie Lu

It finally happened!!  I got Legend!  I was so insanely excited to finally be starting this series and it is amazing so far.

Prodigy by Maire Lu

Once I read Legend, I had to continue immediately.  Thankfully, there was a book store where I was so I got the rest of the series (success!)

Champion by Marie Lu

I’m marathoning!  I got this book while I was at the bookstore, too.  I’m about halfway through and I can’t wait to see how this wraps up!

Ready Player One by Ernest Cline

You have no idea how excited I am to finally have this book.  I’ve heard so many fantastic things and I’ve wanted to read this for so long!  I’m going to be reading this one very soon.

What books did I read this week?

I managed to read five books the week I was away, which I think is pretty good.  The only downside is now I have tons of review to write.

Legend by Maire Lu

I FINALLY read Legend.  (and it was great) More details to come later in a series review!!
But let me just say this.  I LOVE Day! <3

Prodigy by Maire Lu

I had to marathon these once I read the first one.  I’m enjoying this series a lot!

Rebel Belle by Rachel Hawkins

This book looked so cute and I had wanted to read it for quite a while.  I really enjoyed this book and really liked the characters and story!

 Confess by Colleen Hoover

I read my second Colleen Hoover book!  I still think I like Maybe Someday better but, as I expected, Confess was spectacular.

Amy and Roger’s Epic Detour by Morgan Matson

Another amazing book by Morgan Matson.  I’ve wanted to read Amy and Roger for SO LONG and I was definitely not disappointed!  I love road trip books and I love Morgan Matson.

I’m really happy with my reading this week.  I got to read so many books that I’ve wanted to read for forever.  And I love when I’m able to do that because it just feels so good!

What was your week like?   Have you read any of the books I bought/read this week?

  7. Ready Player One is AWESOME. I read it when I didn't know what swear words were. And then...I learned. Haha. Love the book, though. An awesome piece of fiction. I wish I was more mature when I read it!
