Weekly Wrap-Up #5

This week, I’m linking up with Stacking The Shelves, and Sunday Post.  Go check them out!
This week has been good and i've pretty much wrapped up with school, which is great.
I kind of started June off with a bang.  I've been super into contemporaries this month so far, and I'm pretty happy with what i've read in June already.

What happened on the blog this week?

Monday: Review: Me and Earl and the Dying Girl by Jesse Andrews

This book was super funny and I loved the humor!  The narrator was frustrating though and I didn’t really like him as a person.  Reading this book made me really excited for the upcoming movie!

Tuesday: Top Ten Tuesday: Books into Movies & TV Shows

This was a super fun list to make!  And if everyone took one thing away from seeing all of these lists it’s this: Throne of Glass the TV show NEEDS to happen.

Wednesday: Waiting on Wednesday #8

This week I featured Every Last Word by Tamara Ireland Stone.  I’m super excited to read another book by her and her upcoming release sounds so good!

Thursday: Review: The Fill-In Boyfriend by Kasie West

I was so excited for Kasie West’s newest book, and it did not disappoint!  This was such a great contemporary and definitely a great book to pick up this summer!

Friday: Mini Reviews: Wild Hearts and Perfect Couple

I love doing mini reviews!  I enjoyed both of these and am especially excited to continue on with Jennifer Echols’ Superlatives (Perfect Couple) series.

What new books did I get this week?
I got all of these within the past couple days and I’ve already read one.  I’m super excited about all of these, and two of them were actually in my Waiting on Wednesday posts.
Tiny Pretty Things by Sona Charaipotra and Dhonielle Clayton
I featured this book in my waiting on Wednesday #5.  I’m super happy to finally have it and I hope I like it!  It’s about a couple of different girls in this elite ballet school and I’ve heard that it tackles some really tough issues.  I like contemporaries that delve a little deeper and really make you think about things.

Nowhere But Here (Thunder Road #1) by Katie Mcgarry
I featured this book in my Waiting on Wednesday #4.  I am very excited to have my hands on this one!  I’ve heard great things about Katie Mcgarry and this book sounds very much like something I’ll love!

Between the Lines (#1) by Jodi Picoult and Samantha Van Leer
I hadn’t planned on picking this one up, but I just saw it and decided to buy it.  I’ve wanted to read this book for a while and I’m so glad I picked it up!  It’s adorable and I definitely recommend it!

Off The Page by Jodi Picoult and Samantha Van Leer
This is the sequel/companion novel to Between the Lines.  I’m super excited to continue on with this series.  I’ll admit, this series was a bit of a cover buy.  The book is this beautiful purple and the spine is so pretty.  The cover is so pretty and this book is just gorgeous in person.

What books did I read this week?
I’m really impressed with how many books I read this week.  I read 5 books, which I’m really happy with.  I would really like it if I could keep it about 5 a week for the summer, but we’ll see.

Wild Hearts
To hear my thoughts on this one, check out my mini review!

Perfect Couple by Jennifer Echols
I enjoyed this one a lot!  For more of my thoughts, see my mini review.
Pulled Under by Michelle Dalton
I feel like not a lot of people know about Michelle Dalton, but I really love her.  She has such great contemporary books that get you in the mood for summer.  Definitely perfect beach reads.  I love her Sixteenth Summer series and I really enjoyed Pulled Under!

The Body In The Woods by April Henry
I really like April Henry’s YA mystery books and I feel like there are just not enough mystery books in YA.  This is the first book in a new series of hers and I liked it.

Between the Lines (#1) by Jodi Picoult and Samantha Van Leer
Yeah, I just bought this book and I finished it already.  I thought this book was so adorable and it’s such a great and original premise.  This book was just great and I definitely recommend it!

I got a pretty good start into my reading for June.  How did you guys do this week?
